The Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired has allocated funds to provide seven $1,500 scholarships for full time students in college and vocational school programs as well as two $1,000 scholarships for part-time students enrolled in college and vocational school program.
Applicants must be high school graduates or returning students, carrying a full load of classes as defined by the institution they will be attending, and have an accumulated GPA of at least 2.5. Part-time students must verify their courses and schedules. All applicants must have identified goals for the future including eventual employment. All applicants must include verification of vision impairment in a signed form from their eye care professional.
The enclosed application may be duplicated. Please distribute applications to your students as soon as possible so that they can be postmarked by the October 1st deadline. A checklist has been added this year to insure all applications received are fully complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered and we cannot guarantee we can follow-up with students to finalize their applications.
