LETTER OF THANKS

9-10-07

Dear Karen,

I am a Rehabilitation Specialist with the Office for the Blind and Visually Impaired. I am sorry I have not yet had the chance to meet you so I could tell you in person, but I work very closely with a number of your staff, and it is important to me that you know what a wonderful job they do. They are my colleagues in our effort to assist the visually impaired to live full, rich lives.

First of all, the customer service is outstanding! Brent is like my right hand when working with consumers. Brent knows the stock so well and can advise me as to the preferences of the people who come to the Sharper Vision Store and that helps me in the field. He is always so courteous and competent in demonstrating the aids and appliances to me so I can help my consumers.

Brent is also so kind and knowledgeable when consumers come into the store. I have been a part of the Support Groups visiting the store, and that is no small task for your staff to facilitate!! People want to come back again and again because their experience has been so positive. Thank you for offering that opportunity.

May I also tip my hat to Ann? She is always so gracious and interested when I call in and helps me reach the person I need to talk to. Also, if Brent is busy, she is always ready to help in any way possible with ordering products. She helped me recently and ended the call with an expression rarely heard in customer service. She asked, “Is there anything else I can do for you?” My! What comprehensive service. For years, Ann has helped people be safe by helping them with white canes, but of late, I have sure appreciated her assistance in sales.

Kate is a wonderful addition. She has helped with a need I had that was paramount. I give many talks to large groups, and a WCBVI business card that I regularly hand out had been retired. I was at a loss.

Kate kept looking into it, and I received a happy phone call that Nicky designed a new one, and I am so grateful. Many thanks to Kate and Nicky.

Finally, Deda does such a great job behind the scenes managing the money we spend and we never can say enough about how we all appreciate that White Cane Fund!! Thanks from all of us!!

In conclusion, thank you and your capable, caring staff for the wonderful work you all do.

Very sincerely,

Judi Heiden, PhD; Senior Rehabilitation Specialist- OBVI
