Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children Wisconsin Regional Library for the Blind and Visually Handicapped - the library sends books postage free and loans cassette players, special phonographs, talking books, and descriptive videos at no charge. The library recommends a web site as a guide to sources of information in alternative formats accessible by people with print disabilities. Birth to 3 Program Department of Public Instructions (DPI) The State of Wisconsin provides educational programs in local educational Agencies known as Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs). Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired A residential school for blind and visually impaired students from kindergarten through high school. The Center is also the site of a 4-week summer adult program, which train blind and visually impaired persons to function in their home and community easily, safely, and independently. Blind Childrens Fund We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded due to the lack of materials and services available to blind, visually impaired or multi-impaired children, their parents and the professionals who work with them. Northcentral Technical College (NTC) The NTC offers on site classes in consumer education, orientation and mobility, personal care, food preparation, physical education, communications skills, low vision evaluations, and adaptive technology. American Printing House for the Blind The APH promotes independence of blind and visually impaired persons by providing special media, tools, and materials needed for education and life. Perkins School for the Blind Perkins School for the Blind is an innovative leader in serving people with visual impairments. Strong leadership from both staff and the Board of Trustees has created a legacy of education and discovery. We are always questioning how to best serve our students in the classroom, in the community and around the world. While Perkins is proud of all that has been achieved since 1832, we believe there is still much work to be done.
