Assistive devices are items that make every day tasks for the blind and visually impaired a little easier. For example, did you know that there is a device that can help you write out a check? Or that there are cribbage boards with raised numbers and large-print decks of cards? These are just some of the hundreds of items available through the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired. The Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired sells specialized items at low cost to people who are blind or have low vision. Popular items such as magnifiers, clocks, watches, talking devices, kitchen equipment and writing supplies are on display at the Sharper Vision Store, which is located in our offices. Devices can be purchased via phone or through the mail or in person or online. To view some of the items in our Sharper Vision Store click here. |
