Every seven minutes, someone in America will become blind or visually impaired.  By 2030, the estimated number of visually impaired Americans 65 and older will double to seven million!

Visual impairment can have a great impact on the quality of life for older adults as well as family members.  Low vision can create challenges for elders to prepare meals, shop for groceries, find transportation to medical appointments, or manage the household and finances.

Looking toward the next 50 years, as major demographic segments grow older, we are preparing for a significant increase in vision loss due to age-related eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.

Our mission remains constant.  We are committed to empowering and assisting the growing number of people who must make lifestyle changes and adjustments due to vision impairment.

The current increasing need presents an opportunity for you to join us in our mission.  Your gift to the White Cane Fund will enable us to stretch our reach around the state, create innovative and collaborative programs, distribute free white canes to people of all ages, expand products in the Sharper Vision Store, and offer hope, help and independence to so many people.

Together, we can do so much!
Giving is easy. You may mail your check or use our fast, simple and secure way to donate on line by clicking here.  All donations in any amount are greatly appreciated and wisely used.  Thank you!
